Al-Mashhadani: A unified, firm Arab and Islamic stance is needed to support Gaza and Lebanon

The Speaker of the Parliament, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, called on the Arab and Islamic countries to take a unified and firm stance to support Gaza and Lebanon.

Al-Mashhadani received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Iraq, Sultan Mubarak Khalifa Al-Kubaisi. During the meeting, Al-Kubaisi congratulated Al-Mashhadani on the occasion of his assumption of the presidency of the House of Representatives, said the media office of the Speaker of the Parliament in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included that "the two parties discussed the most prominent current issues in the arena, most notably the war waged by the Zionist entity against Gaza and Lebanon."

Al-Mashhadani called on "the Arab and Islamic countries to take a unified and firm stance to support the two brotherly peoples, and work to stop the war, in addition to providing more assistance to the affected and IDPs as well as supporting reconstruction."
