Iraq’s Prime Minister, Adil Abdul Mehdi, affirmed, on Wednesday, on the importance of energy sector success in Iraq, and his looking forward that the related ministries to achieve successes for the interest of the Iraqi people, especially the electricity sector as it is a national and strategic cause and a success criteria.
The PM media office said in a statement, INA received a copy of, that Abdul Mehdi stressed during heading the energy meeting, the energy dossier should be compatible with the challenge level, directing the ministries to exert efforts to provide electricity to all provinces especially the disadvantaged areas due to their suffering in hot summer season.
The statement said that the PM discussed with ministers of oil, electricity and water resources, the work and production reality, and the ongoing preparations, and the suggested methods to solve them, adding that follow up tables were set to do the required maintenance and rehabilitate many of the non-operating stations, and to solve all problems among ministries to provide electricity and decrease hours of cut -off.
