Advisor to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs, Qassim Al-Dhalimi, confirmed on Friday that there are ongoing youth initiatives to meet the needs of the government program, pointing to the existence of a new mechanism for cooperation between the Supreme Council for Youth and the Ministry of Labor.
Al-Dhalimi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The National Digital Youth Project is the twenty-fifth of a series of projects launched by the Supreme Council for Youth."
"These initiatives are continuing in accordance with the quality, target group and needs of the government program, in line with the aspirations of young people and appropriate to the conditions of Iraqi society," he said.
Regarding the contracts launched by the Supreme Council for Youth, Al-Dhalimi stated that "the Council launched entrepreneurship loans in cooperation with the Riyada initiative and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, where a mechanism was developed for these loans and a form was opened to receive names, after that, projects are selected based on the specific vision and determine the required amounts."
"There is a joint mechanism between the Supreme Council for Youth, Riyada Initiative and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, which enables the filtering of loans in a way that achieves the aspirations of young people on the ground and facilitates their lending appropriately," he said.
