China’s Xi to visit Peru, Brazil for APEC, G20 summits

    Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Lima, Peru from Nov. 13 to 17 to attend the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, an official said Friday.

    He will also pay a state visit at the invitation of Peruvian President Dina Boluarte.

    The announcement was made by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying.

    Following his Peru visit, Xi will travel to Brazil from Nov.17 to 21.

    He will attend the 19th G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro and hold a state visit at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
