Prime Minister Mohamed Shia al-Sudani stressed on Wednesday the need to secure oil derivatives for energy production.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Prime Minister chaired a meeting that included the ministries of finance, electricity and oil, devoted to discussing fuel used in energy production, and the financial obligations of the Ministry of Electricity."
The statement added that "during the meeting, the need to secure oil derivatives for energy production, in order to sustain the work of stations and factories, because of their importance in achieving development, which came at the top of the government's priorities contained in the government program," the statement added.
