Iraqi refereeing team to lead AFC Champions League match

    The Asian Football Confederation's Referees Committee assigned on Tuesday an Iraqi refereeing team to lead the match between the Australian Central Coast Marines and the Chinese Shanghai in the AFC Champions League - Elite that will be held on Tuesday in Sydney.


    "The refereeing team consists of international referee Muhannad Qasim and his assistants Wathiq Mdalal and Ahmed Sabah, in addition to Zaid Thamer as the fourth referee," said the Football Association in a brief statement - followed by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.


    The statement included that the Emirati referee Omar Al-Ali will take over the task of the VAR referee, assisted by Yahya Al-Mulla from the Emirates as well.
