The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, discussed today, Sunday, with the head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc, Yasser Al-Maliki, and a number of members of the bloc, supporting legislation that achieves political and economic stability and serves the interests of the people.
The media office of the head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "within the framework of continuous communication and consultation on important national and legislative issues, the head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc, Yasser Al-Maliki, met with the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, in the presence of a number of representatives of the State of Law bloc."
"The attendees discussed during the meeting, many vital files on the national level, and the talks focused on the necessity of supporting legislation that achieves political and economic stability and serves the interests of the Iraqi people.
They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the various political blocs to achieve consensus on important legislative issues within the Council of Representatives."
According to the statement “they stressed the importance of concerted efforts within the Council of Representatives to pass legislation that serves the interests of citizens."
