The Iraqi-Turkish committee held on Thursday, its third meeting in Ankara.
The Iraqi embassy in Ankara said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Joint Permanent Committee for Water between Iraq and Turkey is holding its third meeting in Ankara," noting that "the Iraqi side was headed by the technical undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources Hussein Abdul Amir Bakkah, and the Turkish side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara Majid Al-Lajmawi."
The emmassy added that "the meeting discussed developments in the water wealth file and ways to preserve and benefit from it, and to resolve issues related to the water file between the two friendly countries."
