Prime Minister Directs Special Consideration for Employees with Disabilities

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed on Tuesday, that employees with disabilities be treated with special and exceptional consideration.

The directive, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), included the following measures:

Assigning them tasks that do not conflict with their disabilities and taking their health conditions into account.

Providing a suitable work environment that accommodates the nature of the disability the employee has.

Reducing working hours by one hour per day or granting them one day of rest per week.

Holding accountable any employee who abuses them during work.
