Deputy Director of the Prime Minister's Office Ali Razouki Al-Lami confirmed today, Sunday, that there is a move towards foreign companies to manage new hospitals, while pointing out that there are major health projects that will be completed during the current year.

Razouki told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The goal is no longer just to complete the infrastructure of a hospital and hand it over to our existing health system and manage it with the same existing mentality, because when you build a hospital at this level, its management must be in harmony with the level of construction," noting that "we are heading towards partnership with foreign countries and companies to manage hospitals."
He explained that "there are very large health projects that include a group of giant hospitals, and that a large number of them will be completed this year, and very soon one of them will be completed with a capacity of 200 beds," indicating that "dealing with international companies does not mean disrupting Iraqi cadres, but rather the management will be at the level of important differences and joints in the hospital."
He pointed out that "some consultants will be the pıllar of the workers who are Iraqi doctors and nurses, and Iraqi cadres will be enrolled in courses in these companies to deal with the patient with a new philosophy that matches the philosophy of developed countries."
