The Ministry of Education announced today, Wednesday, that Iraq has obtained membership in the International School Sports Federation.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraq has joined the membership of the International School Sports Federation, after completing all requirements and obligations during the participation of a ministerial delegation headed by the Director General of Physical Education and School Activities Mohammad Ibrahim Abboudi and the Director of the School Sports Department Najm Abboud in the periodic meeting of the General Assembly of the International School Sports Federation, which was held over two consecutive days in Bahrain."
It added, "The Ministry of Education participated in the conference with more than (92) countries to complete the work program for the years (2025-2026) and seek to improve the reality of school sports and involve the country in Arab and international forums in addition to providing the necessary technical support to promote promising youth energies and hone the talents of players."
