Al-Sudani holds meeting with IFC delegation to review Baghdad International Airport Development Project

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani presided over a meeting today with the delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to follow up on the Baghdad International Airport development project.
     
    “The meeting discussed the steps taken by the IFC to attract investors and specialized airport management companies, which have now reached 14 companies,” stated the Media Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
     
     
    The statement added, “The Prime Minister affirmed the government's commitment to the Baghdad International Airport rehabilitation project, despite all challenges. He noted that the project underwent a comprehensive study and was thoroughly reviewed by the government and Ministry of Transportation”.
     
    The statement further stated,” The Prime Minister emphasized that the project's model offers many advantages that have made it a standard for successful airports in the region. He directed that the rehabilitation and development efforts must adhere to the latest specifications and standards set by international airport organizations. The project aims to achieve two key objectives: Increasing profits and revenues and improving the quality of services provided to the passengers”.
