PM: Palestine has a place in the heart of every Iraqi

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said that Palestine is at the heart of every Iraqi and it is our duty to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and its just cause.

This came during a meeting on Thursday with the head of the parliamentary Palestinian parliamentary committee Amran al-Khatib and his accompanying delegation.

The Prime Minister said: Iraq and its people have historic and outstanding positions in the sacrifice and defense of the right of the Palestinian people, and expressed great welcome to the visiting Palestinian delegation. He also stressed the readiness of the Iraqi government to cooperate and activate the work of the Iraqi-Palestinian Joint Committee.

 For his part, praised the head of the Palestinian delegation to the democratic transition underway in Iraq and the building of the state institutions, and the position of the Iraqi people along with his brother the Palestinian people.

We are with a strong, prosperous Iraq and we are happy to be overcome by terrorism, which wanted to keep Iraq out of its big role and disrupt its economic growth.
