Minister of Trade Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri announced on Friday, the Prime Minister's approval to postpone the (48) session of the Baghdad International Fair until February 2025.

A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Ministry of Trade's request to postpone the (48) session of the Baghdad International Fair came as a result of the circumstances the region is going through as a result of the Zionist entity's attacks on the countries of Lebanon and Palestine and their peoples."

It stressed that "the sessions of the Baghdad International Fair are of great importance as they are Iraq's economic gateway to attracting countries and companies to display their products and identify the needs of the Iraqi market and find partnerships with Iraqi sectors to enter into investment projects in various fields."

The statement noted that "the ministry, through the Iraqi Exhibitions Company, will announce the exact date for the 48th session if it is confirmed and all preparations are completed."
