A United Nations team confirmed on Friday that the special voting process for the Kurdistan Parliament elections has been characterized by organization and transparency, with no significant issues reported thus far.

The team noted that a comprehensive final report will be prepared following the conclusion of the electoral process, highlighting the involvement of 75 international observers tasked with monitoring the elections.

Majid Al-Rakbi, the UN High Commissioner for the Middle East and North Africa, stated in remarks to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We have deployed international observer teams across polling stations to supervise the electoral process. Currently, we have 75 international observers in place, along with a dedicated media team to monitor activities. Should any violations be detected, we will promptly report them to the electoral commission."

He reiterated that "the voting process is being conducted with a high level of organization and transparency, and we have not encountered any issues at this stage."

Al-Rakbi also indicated that a cadre of international experts has been engaged to assist in the oversight of the electoral process, and to date, no complaints have been lodged by the international observers.

He elaborated that the evaluation of the electoral process will occur in two distinct phases: the first phase will take place during the election days on Friday and Sunday, focusing on monitoring reports from observers. The second phase will commence following the conclusion of the electoral process, involving surveys and an examination of any complaints. A thorough assessment of the electoral process will be conducted after the results are announced.
