The Director General of the Department of Regional and Provincial Affairs at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Saad Aliwi, confirmed that the ministry has completed all the requirements for the Basra International Stadium, hours before the expected match between the Iraqi and Palestinian national teams.
Al-Aliwi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Thursday: "The stadium is ready with all its facilities and details," indicating that "the directives of Minister Ahmed Al-Mubarqa stressed the need to pay attention to the means of comfort for the fans who will attend the match, in addition to the stadium appearing in a wonderful form as we usually see it."
It is noteworthy that Basra International Stadium will host the third match of our national team this evening, Thursday, in the decisive stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
