Al-Sudani Stresses Shared Responsibility of Citizens and State Agencies in Sustaining Health Infrastructure

    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani inaugurated today, Sunday, the second phase of the renovation of the Central Teaching Hospital of Pediatric in Baghdad.
    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani inaugurated the second phase of the rehabilitation of the Central Teaching Hospital of Pediatric in the capital, Baghdad."
     
    During his tour of the renovated sections and wards, the Prime Minister inspected the key services provided and the updated medical equipment and supplies, aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services for citizens. He reiterated that the government prioritizes healthcare services as a central objective and a top priority.
     
    Speaking with the medical and healthcare staff at the hospital, the Prime Minister emphasized that the completion of the second phase of renovation reflects the government's commitment to fulfilling its promises to enhance and modernize the country's healthcare infrastructure. He stressed that maintaining the sustainability of healthcare and service facilities is a shared responsibility between citizens and service agencies.
     
    The second phase of the project included the renovation of the surgery and hematology departments, four operating rooms, radiology and CT/MRI units, the pharmacy, the blood bank, the administrative wing, and the main entrance.
     
    This phase also involved the renovation of over 90 rooms in the hospital, upgrading the sewage, water, and electrical systems, and equipping the hospital with modern monitoring and fire suppression systems. The hospital wards have been fitted with new beds and essential medical equipment, with the third phase of the project set to begin soon, covering the entire hospital.
