The Security Media Cell - SMC confirmed on Saturday that it has achieved great success in the field of border control, while indicating that more than 100 terrorists have been killed during the current year, most of them leaders.

"The successes achieved by our security forces this year are great. This is due to the coordination and vision prepared by the Joint Ops Command in cooperation with all agencies, especially the Intelligence Service, the Military Intelligence Directorate and other security agencies," said the head of SMC, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "Recently, 9 wanted individuals on terrorism charges were arrested, based on intelligence information from the Military Intelligence Directorate in four governorates," explaining that "the evaluation of success is through the results presented to the media as a result of qualitative operations and great efforts made by our security services, which broke the back of terrorism and we succeeded through our work, vision and planning in killing terrorists." 

"The number of terrorists killed so far has exceeded 100 terrorists, most of whom are very dangerous leaders, and work is ongoing to strike terrorism wherever it is found," he noted.
