Basra declares that it will employ Iraqi labor to create oil well compounds

    The Basra Oil Company announced on Wednesday the manufacture of oil well compounds by local hands.  
     
    The company said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): It "supports local labor and gives it the opportunity to engage in the oil sector by contracting with private companies that have experience in this field," pointing out that "the Zubair Field Operation Authority had a role as well, as it was contracted with a private company, which proved its worth and efficiency in the manufacture of oil well compounds as well as compounds for water injection."

    The director of engineering projects in the company, Hassan Al-Nasiri, according to the statement, that "the mechanism for manufacturing well compounds of both types of oil and private is done by injecting water," stressing that "manufacturing them by local hands 100% and the employment rate reaches 98%."

    Al-Nasiri pointed to "the presence of equipment described as very advanced according to international standards, including welding machines that do the work of welding the submerged arc, as well as machines for cutting pipes and others," pointing out that "all cadres were trained on these equipment, devices and models that were taken for examination in laboratories were impressive results, according to his description."  
     
    He added that "the manufacture of equipment inside Iraq has several benefits, including the employment of the largest number of Iraqi labor as well as the preservation of the national currency," noting that "contracts will be made with Iraqi companies in addition to supervision be 100% by government agencies and also there will be a shortening of time in the completion of these projects."
