The Ministry of Migration and Displacement - MMD announced on Monday that it received 144 Lebanese citizens.
"Based on the directives of PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, and Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, the ministry's staff at the Qaim port, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, received the first batch of families coming from Lebanon," stated the ministry in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
"These families left their homes due to the brutal Zionist aggression, through the Qaim border port, with 144 Lebanese citizens, including some wounded. The ministry's staff provided them with all necessary facilities," included the statement.
