DIC announces successful localization of armored vehicle production

    The Defence Industries Commission (DIC) has formally announced the successful localization of armored vehicle manufacturing, reinforcing its commitment to deliver 50 domestically produced combat armored vehicles to the Ministry of Interior.
     
    Mustafa Aati, the Head of DIC, stated to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Under the steadfast support and direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, who has underscored the strategic imperative of advancing military industries through the establishment of a robust domestic manufacturing capability, DIC has successfully achieved the localization of armored vehicle production at Al-Rabee Factory in Baghdad.”
     
    He further detailed that “numerous contracts have been executed with various security agencies, including the Ministry of Interior,” emphasizing, “Today marks the commencement of the delivery of the first batch of 50 combat armored vehicles, with additional consignments slated for subsequent delivery.”
     
    Aati asserted that “this landmark achievement underscores the unwavering support from the government for DIC, thereby reinforcing its position as a critical pillar in bolstering the operational readiness of the Iraqi security forces across all branches, particularly in augmenting the combat capabilities of the Ministry of Interior.”
