Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Sunday that the current displacement is the largest in Lebanon's history, while indicating that the number of displaced people is expected to reach one million.

Mikati said in a speech during a press conference, attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The state is doing everything necessary and mobilizing all our capabilities, as we work to secure all the requirements and resources that the displaced people need," expecting that "the number of displaced people will reach one million people."

He added that "one of our priorities is to stop the ongoing Zionist aggression on Lebanon."

He continued: "We are working to secure all the requirements and resources that the displaced need, and we will ask donor countries to help us in these difficult circumstances that we are going through, and we will also facilitate the entry of aid on condition that we know the donor party."

Mikati stressed the "continuity of public facilities such as airports and the importance of their safety", noting that "Lebanon still believes in international legitimacy".

He pointed out that "the Zionist entity commits criminal acts every day", stressing that "we will never retreat  for a moment to continue the diplomatic role and we have no other choice".
