Baghdad Operations Command-BOC announced on Saturday the arrest of 16 suspects and the seizure of weapons and ammunition in eastern Baghdad.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), BOC stated, "In pursuit of criminal offenders and execution of judicial arrest warrants to enhance security and maintain the achieved stability, a force from the Fifth Federal Police Division, in coordination with intelligence agencies, successfully arrested 16 suspects on various legal charges. Among them was a suspect involved in extortion, others linked to brawls, and individuals possessing unlicensed weapons and ammunition in areas including Boub Al-Sham, Hay Tariq, Sadr City, Al-Rashidiya, Al-Husseiniya, Al-Bawiya, and Hay Al-Kufa."
The statement added that the suspects and seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete legal procedures.
