Al-Abbas's shrine received 44 Lebanese wounded

    The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein confirmed, today, Thursday, that the first batch of Lebanese wounded received by its hospitals included 44 people, noting that most of their injuries were in the head and abdomen.

    The head of the Health and Education Authority at the Al-Abbas's Holy Shrine, Haider Al-Abadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "After the Supreme Authority, Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani, directed to extend a helping hand to the Lebanese people and provide them with relief, the Al-Abbas's Holy Shrine began receiving the first batch of wounded from the Zionist aggression on Lebanon in Imam Zain Al-Abidin Hospital, whose number reached 44 wounded."

    Al-Abadi added that "a specialized cell was formed in the medical field and another in the field of non-medical equipment, through which packages of necessary medicines and medical devices were sent to the Lebanese people," explaining that "the priority will be to treat the injured Lebanese, as beds have been prepared in other hospitals to receive the incoming meals of the wounded," stressing that "work is underway to prepare the appropriate conditions to transfer the second meal of the wounded to Iraq."

    For his part, the Director General of Zain Al-Abidin Hospital, Abdul Rahman Ismail, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, and under the direct supervision of the legal custodian of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, the health and medical education hospitals affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine received a number of Lebanese wounded," explaining that "this batch is the first, and there are other batches that will be transferred successively."

    Ismail pointed out that "the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein provided great logistical support to the Lebanese people, embodied in sending medical supplies, equipment, food supplies, and other things to the Lebanese people."

    Ismail revealed that "the injuries received by the hospital were different and in various parts of the body, including injuries to the head, abdomen and leg," noting that "some of them will be admitted to the operating rooms to perform advanced medical interventions."
