Migration: Our doors are open to Lebanese IDP families

    The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced, today, Wednesday, its readiness to receive displaced Lebanese families.

    A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "Based on the statement of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and in response to the recommendations issued by the wise authority represented by His Eminence the Supreme Religious Authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, held an expanded meeting with the advanced staff of the ministry; to discuss the ministry's preparations to accommodate Lebanese families in the event that they come to Iraq due to the ongoing brutal Zionist bombing of brotherly Lebanon."

    The statement added, "In light of the difficult circumstances experienced by the brotherly Lebanese people and in solidarity and support from the Iraqi government and people, the Minister directed the following:

    1- The ministry's readiness and preparation of cadres to receive Lebanese families. 
    2- Providing the necessary supplies and providing humanitarian and relief aid and preparing the appropriate ground for them in the event that they come urgently. 
    3- Coordinating with the Governor of Karbala, Mr. Nassif Jassim al-Khattabi, to prepare suitable places for their residence and provide them with the necessary supplies, in addition to coordinating with the two holy shrines."
