International media reported today, Sunday, that a car accompanying the Russian ambassador to Pakistan exploded by a landmine, confirming that the diplomatic delegation was not injured.
The Russian embassy in Islamabad said that "a car accompanying the delegation of Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev exploded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwest Pakistan, and a number of police officers were injured, while members of the diplomatic corps were not harmed."
"One of the accompanying cars exploded with a mine while passing on the road from the city of Mingora to the hotel, and a number of police officers were injured, while representatives of the diplomatic corps were not harmed."
A delegation of ambassadors from a number of countries in Pakistan is participating today in the Tourism Development Forum in Swat Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
