President Rashid: Books fairs and Literary Forums Foster Cultural Convergence Among Nations

    President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid affirmed on Tuesday, that literary exhibitions and Forums play a vital role in fostering cultural convergence among nations.
     
    In a statement released by the Presidential Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), it was noted that President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid attended a dialogue session organized by the Arab-Kurdish Cultural Center titled "The Arab-Kurdish Dialogue: An Initiative to Revive Shared Memory and Destiny."
     This session was held as part of the cultural events accompanying the 25th Baghdad International Book Fair.
     
    According to the statement, the speakers at the session highlighted the significance of the Arab-Kurdish Cultural Center in promoting cultural, intellectual, and literary dialogue between Arabs, Kurds, and other Iraqi communities. They emphasized the need to cultivate shared values that foster peaceful coexistence and cooperation across various fields.
     
    The speakers also underscored the crucial roles played by Arab and Kurdish intellectuals and writers in enriching thought and culture, bridging gaps, and overcoming past conflicts, thus contributing to the resolution of issues and the establishment of an aware and democratic society.
     
    The statement further mentioned that the President toured the exhibition’s pavilions, which showcased the works of many Arab and local publishing houses, as well as publications from governmental ministries and cultural, security, and social institutions.
     
    During his conversations with several publishers, President Rashid praised the organization of the exhibition and the efforts of those responsible. He noted the importance of such exhibitions and literary forums in enriching the cultural landscape and enhancing cultural exchange between peoples and nations.
