The Conference of e-payment towards the financial stability in Iraq kicks off

The Electronic Payment Conference aimed at achieving financial stability in Iraq commenced today, Saturday.

According to the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Under the theme 'Promoting Financial Stability in Iraq,' the conference was organized by the Central Bank of Iraq in collaboration with the Iraqi Private Bank League –IPBL."

“The conference was attended by representatives from relevant Iraqi ministries, governors of foreign central banks, diplomatic missions, international institutions operating in Iraq, information technology companies, electronic payment providers, global financial institutions, as well as Private Iraqi and foreign banks operating in Iraq,” he added.

The correspondent further added that "the Banking Technology Conference serves as a critical platform to foster cooperation between financial and banking institutions in Iraq and international financial technology companies."
