The Iraqi government condemned, on Thursday, the ongoing massacres of the Zionist occupation in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which was yesterday, which left more than 40 martyrs.

The official spokesman for the Iraqi government, Bassem Al-Awadi, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Iraqi government condemns in the strongest terms the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist occupation forces in the Gaza Strip since yesterday, in continuation of their brutal and criminal approach against Palestinian civilians and civilian facilities."

Yesterday morning, more than forty civilians were martyred due to the occupation forces' bombing of displaced persons' camps in the Al-Mawasi area, in the southern Khan Yunis of the besieged Gaza Strip. In the past few hours, the Zionist war machine targeted Nuseirat School, resulting in casualties, including six employees of the UNRWA.

The occupation forces insistence on escalating its brutality to the extreme in Gaza necessitates urgent action by the international community, particularly major powers, along with organizations and institutions, to curb the this beast that has disregarded all laws, values, and morals. The world's unjustified silence only results in more victims and ongoing devastation. This places the global community, especially the major powers, before a historic responsibility to confront these ongoing atrocities.
