Iranian President: We agreed to form a joint team with Iraq to develop broader cooperation plans

    Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed today, Wednesday, the agreement to form a team of experts with Iraq in various fields, while noting that this aims to develop strategic plans for broader cooperation between the two countries.
     
    Pezeshkian said in a speech during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani during his visit to Iraq, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "It is a good opportunity to be on my first visit to Iraq, and I wanted to follow up on the work of the previously concluded agreements and which signed today, which represent a new start for cooperation between the two countries."
    He added: "We agreed to form a team of experts between the two countries in various fields to develop strategic plans for broader cooperation between the two countries," indicating that "we need to activate the security agreements between the two countries to deter terrorists and those who want to target security in the region."
     "The agreements that were concluded have achieved success, and we need to remove those that did not succeed," stressing that "we want a strong, stable and secure Iraq that is characterized by brotherhood and calm." Pezeshkian said.
     
    He pointed out that "the visit represents a great opportunity to discuss points of view and draw up future plans."
    He added that "the Zionist entity is committing the most heinous crimes against humanity in Gaza," expressing his "hope for success in deterring the Zionist entity through unity and cohesion."
