The Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) Nasser Al-Qahtani, asserted on Tuesday, that enhancing the role of the Judiciary and promoting integrity are vital measures for establishing a robust Iraq.
During his address at the Arab Forum for Enhancing Transparency and Good Governance, attended by a correspondent from the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Qahtani remarked, "Our mission is to promote Arab administrative development."
He expressed his satisfaction with the forum being convened in Baghdad, emphasizing that integrity and the fight against corruption are fundamental prerequisites for state-building.
He further elaborated that "the forum seeks to provide a platform for shedding light on the challenges facing societies through collaborative efforts," highlighting that "the strength of civil society's initiatives to enhance transparency and combat corruption lies at the heart of this endeavor."
Al-Qahtani acknowledged the efforts of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, emphasizing that "the reinforcement of the judiciary and integrity constitutes a practical pathway to construct a strong Iraq."
He further stated that, "Development and corruption are two divergent paths that cannot coexist," underscoring that "corruption undermines the establishment of a resilient economy."
Al-Qahtani concluded by asserting that "the challenges confronting the region necessitate a united front to promote transparency and combat corruption."
