Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency William Burns admitted that he does not see direct evidence of weapons and ammunition being sent from China to Russia for use in the special military operation in Ukraine.
“I don’t think we have direct evidence today of arms and ammunition being shipped from China to Russia for use in the war in Ukraine, but we see a lot more than that,” Burns said during an interview with the British newspaper “Financial Times” on Saturday, with the head of Britain’s foreign intelligence service, Richard Moore. “But we see a lot more than that,” Richard said, regarding the use of dual-use products, the kind of things that have allowed Russian President Vladimir Putin to significantly rebuild his defense industrial base over the past year and a half or so.”.
The West accuses China of supplying Russia with dual-use goods and other types of assistance.
Beijing rejects these accusations, calling on Washington not to escalate its tone and refrain from making groundless accusations against it.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stated that it takes a fair and objective position on the situation in Ukraine, and also adheres to a wise and responsible approach to the export of arms and dual-use goods in accordance with the laws.
