The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Tuesday the recovery of three terrorist bodies alongside explosive belts in the Hamrin Mountains.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the SMC stated, “Following yesterday’s announcement regarding the airstrike executed by Iraqi F16 aircraft in the Hamrin mountain range within the Diyala operations sector, and based on intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate, a force from the 1st Division of the Diyala Operations Command, in conjunction with a reconnaissance unit from the Military Intelligence Directorate, conducted an inspection of the strike site.”
The statement further revealed, “The force uncovered three bodies of terrorists, explosive belts, hand grenades, various firearms, logistical materials, mobile devices, criminal evidence, and other items.”
It emphasized that “these preemptive operations, driven by accurate intelligence, have yielded significant results in eliminating the remaining remnants of the defeated ISIS terrorist groups. Our martyrs are in a higher place, and our quest for vengeance for their sake continues until the eradication of all forms of terrorism.”
