Bahrain win over Australia in Asian World Cup qualifiers

The Bahraini national team snatched a fatal victory over its host, Australia, with a clean goal, during the match that brought them together, today, Thursday, within the framework of Group Three in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The only goal of the match was scored by mistake by Australian player Harry Souter in the 89th minute after a cross from Bahrain player Abdullah Al-Khalasi from the left side of the field hit him.

The Bahraini team is scheduled to host its Japanese counterpart next Tuesday, while the Australian team will visit its Indonesian counterpart on the same day.
