Operation Lion's Leap: JOC Reports Increased Death Toll of ISIS gangs in Anbar Desert

    The Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced on Tuesday that the death toll from Operation Lion's Leap in the Anbar Desert has risen.
     
    According to a statement from the Security Media Cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Under the directives and oversight of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Chief of Staff of the Army and the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations supervised the airborne deployment of special forces at 0400 hours this morning from the operations center and targeting cell within the JOC, with the Director of Military Intelligence and General Staff present to oversee the execution of the operation."
     
    The statement highlighted that "the operation was coordinated with the Iraqi National Intelligence Service and received support from the air force and army aviation units in Wadi Al-Ghadhf, targeting a crucial hideout utilized by ISIS leaders."
     
    Furthermore, it was revealed that "two terrorist bodies, along with weapons and equipment, were recovered, bringing the total number of terrorists killed in Operation Lion's Leap to 16, including high-ranking ISIS leaders."
     
    The report also indicated the identification of three pickup trucks employed by ISIS operatives in various locations, which were swiftly targeted and destroyed by army aviation units. The statement emphasized that "our security forces remain committed to proactive operations aimed at dismantling terrorist hideouts and bringing these defeated members to justice."
