The Iraqi Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency (FIIA) announced on Friday, the arrest of four terrorism suspects in Salah al-Din.
“Counter-terrorism detachments at FIIA in Salah al-Din conducted a targeted operation, leading to the arrest of four ISIS terrorists, This operation followed thorough field surveillance, and the arrests were made based on judicial arrest warrants, “FIIA stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA.
The statement added,"During interrogation, the suspects openly confessed to their affiliation with ISIS and their involvement in what is known as the 'Hisbah’ as They admitted carrying out several terrorist attacks in the Al-Nabayi and Beiji areas, setting up fake checkpoints, and previously targeting security forces.”
“Their statements have been preliminary and judicially verified, and they have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to receive their due punishment," the statement further stated.
