The Ministry of Transport announced, today, Friday, the recording of an earthquake on the Iraqi-Turkish-Iranian border.
The ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake about 11 km from the Iraqi-Turkish-Iranian border, and about 100 km from Dohuk Governorate, where its magnitude reached 2.5 degrees, and it was felt by citizens living near its occurrence."
The ministry added, "We call on citizens to stay away from false news and rumors and adhere to seismic instructions."
