Iraq: Above two million and 750 thousand arrivals to the country

Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shimmari announced, on Tuesday, that arrivals to Iraq exceeded two million and 750 thousand.
 
This came during a joint conference with Minister of Defense Thabit Al-Abbasi - followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA from the holy city of Karbala, asserting that the number of arrivals to Iraq has reached more than two million and 750 thousand.
 
Al-Shimmari added, "The Minister of Defense has reinforced the security axis with financing and transportation brigades, ambulance and military medical detachments, as well as supported for the Karbala Ops Command."
 
"We commend the role of the Ministry of Defense in the security plan for protecting visitors to the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during this year, whether in the security plan or the service plan," he noted.
 
In turn, Minister of Defense Al-Abbasi, said that "We visited the Karbala Ops Command and reviewed the plan. The Minister of Interior gave a detailed presentation in the presence of several members of the Security and Defense Committee of the Parliament."
 
"The plan is going well and better than we expected. The movement is smooth during our visit to the shrine of Imam Hussein and his brother Abbas (peace be upon them). It was unprecedentedly organized," he included.
