The Supreme Youth Council unveiled on Saturday, the launch date for its ambitious National Strategy to Combat Digital Illiteracy. The Council also revealed that the increase in loan funding will depend on a boost in digital projects.

The Council CEO Ali Hilal told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "loans ranging from 50 million to 100 million dinars will be offered to 1,000 young people, with 500 loans available through the Entrepreneurship Initiative and 500 through the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs."

Hilal emphasized that "an increase in loan applications and digital projects could lead to a rise in the number of beneficiaries for the Council's youth programs."

He added that the strategy is set for imminent release, following the completion of all procedural requirements, and hinted at a forthcoming Cabinet decision to amend a related previous resolution.

The strategy will feature the establishment of four digital youth centers across various governorates, offering training centers; it aims to provide comprehensive support to elevate digital literacy and innovation throughout Iraq.
