The Border Forces Command announced, today, Thursday, receiving visitors on its first sea trips at the Ashar dock in Basra Governorate.
The command stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Al-Ashar Marine Pier, affiliated with the Fourth Region Customs Police Directorate/Maqal Customs Police Station in Basra, received the first sea voyages coming from the Islamic Republic of Iran, carrying a number of visitors coming to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (PBUH)," adding that "they were received amid high inspection and service procedures."
He added that "this pier was recently opened temporarily to receive visitors and relieve congestion on the rest of the other ports in Basra Governorate."
