FCOI unveils ‘Rule of Justice’ Initiative to curb corruption

    The Federal Commission of Integrity (FCOI) announced on Tuesday, its forthcoming launch of the "Rule of Justice" initiative, a decisive measure aimed at combating corruption.
     
    In a joint conference with Ali Al-Moayad, Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission-CMC, and attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Judge Haider Hanoun, FCOI commissioner of the FCOI, stated, "In a democratic system where citizens are endowed with freedom, it is imperative to convey accurate information to the populace. The media serves as the essential lens through which transparency is achieved."
     He further emphasized that "in accordance with  the United Nations Convention ratified by Iraq, the FCOI possesses the mandate and foresight to cultivate a culture of transparency by utilizing media channels to disseminate factual information to the public."
     
    Judge Hanoun highlighted that "the FCOI is preparing to introduce the Rule of Justice Principle, inspired by the practices of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), as a means to eradicate corruption."
     He elaborated that "this principle is founded on the commitment to impartiality and fairness in the examination and management of all cases."
     
    Expanding on the purpose of the conference, Hanoun explained, "This gathering seeks to bolster the directives issued by The Supreme Religious Authority regarding the urgent need to combat drug abuse."
    He affirmed the existence of "a strategic partnership between the FCOI and the Communications and Media Commission to support the efforts aimed at countering the proliferation of narcotics. The pronouncements from the supreme religious authority have identified the root causes of our societal challenges, including the spread of drug abuse, which is intrinsically linked to corruption."
     
    Judge Hanoun further asserted, "The FCOI stands in solidarity with all institutions confronting the menace of drug abuse and pledges its unwavering support in alignment with constitutional and legal frameworks."
     
    Ali Al-Moayad, Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission, added, "Our commission is committed to endorsing any initiative aimed at combating drug abuse. We will actively collaborate with media institutions to address this severe threat."
