SMC announces the arrest of "Abu Safiya Al-Iraqi" in Anbar

The Security Media Cell(SMC) announced today, Sunday, the arrest of a dangerous terrorist who worked for the so-called former Deputy Governor of the Euphrates State, called (Abu Safiya Al-Iraqi) in Anbar Governorate.

The cell stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the heroes of the Military Intelligence Directorate in the Ministry of Defense carried out a qualitative operation that resulted in the arrest of a dangerous terrorist who worked in the so-called former deputy governor of the Euphrates State, called (Abu Safiya Al-Iraqi) in the Rumana District, affiliated with Anbar Governorate, and who is wanted by the Iraqi judiciary according to the provisions of Article (4 / Terrorism)." 

The statement added, "The terrorist participated in many terrorist acts against the Iraqi and Syrian security forces at an earlier time," noting that "the terrorist was handed over to the requesting party in the field and in principle."
