Abu Al-Abbas: Imam Hussein (PBUH) is a model that transcends sectarian affiliation

Artist Mahmoud Abu Al-Abbas confirmed, today, Saturday, that there is a consensus that Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, is a role model in the victory of faith and will remain a model that transcends sectarian affiliation.

Abu Al-Abbas, who is preparing to play the lead role in the Husseini play "Abu Mahidi's Procession", confirmed in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Amir Ali Al-Hassoun writes the play, and the media figure Insjam Al-Gharawi shares the lead role with him, and it is directed by the artist Ghanem Hamid."

He added, "Every person looks at Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, from the perspective of his own societal culture," indicating, "Everyone who borrows the path of martyrdom follows the path of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, whether he is a Muslim or a non-Muslim."

He pointed out, "The Battle of Karbala took on essential names, including the Karbala incident, the victory of blood over the sword, and many descriptions; because it is broader than description," stressing, "Muslims call Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, the title of "Master of Martyrs" and Arab and foreign historians followed them in that, which indicates the greatness of the incident and the majesty of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him."

It is noteworthy that the play, Abu Mahidi's Procession, will be shown at Al-Rashid Theater during the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
