Mohammed Ali al-Hakim discussed with his Saudi counterpart the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Al Hakim congratulated the Saudi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf, wishing him success in his new duties as foreign minister in Saudi Arabia.
The statement said the contacts included discussing and enhancing the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries through the Iraqi-Saudi Ministerial Coordination Council and the latest developments in the region, as well as enhancing relations through continuous communication and consultation between the two sides for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the region.
