Extensive preemptive operations throughout the desert, reaching the Syrian border

    The Joint Operations Command announced, today, Thursday, extensive preemptive operations throughout the desert, reaching the Iraqi-Syrian border.

    A statement by the command, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the sectors of responsibility in the commands of the operations of western Nineveh, Salah al-Din and al-Jazeera are witnessing extensive preemptive operations with the field presence of the commanders of the operations and the commanders of the mobilization axes and with the participation of all security units of various types and specializations, with support from the Air Force Aviation, the Army Aviation and the supporting and service branches, and under the supervision of the Land Forces Command and in full coordination with the Border Forces Command, the Sixth Region, which has witnessed for more than a year a great development in establishing barrier systems, fortifications, technical monitoring resources, and high combat readiness and preparedness, in conjunction with securing a competent number and appropriate reserves of army and mobilization heroes behind the sectors of this command and other commands, to confront all challenges and prevent any infiltration operations."

    He added, "The Iraqi-Syrian border is witnessing high-level coordination between all units to protect all of Iraq's precious governorates and vital targets and to benefit from previous experiences related to controlling the borders and their depth and the deployment of our various security units over long distances on interconnected lines of defense and strong points and nodes."
