The security forces successfully apprehended two drug traffickers, seizing one million Captagon pills in an operation conducted in Anbar province on Sunday.
Brigadier General Muqdad Meiri, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior and the Security Media Cell, confirmed that the operation was executed based on directives from the Director General of Drug Affairs as a specialized task force, including units from Special Investigations and the Anbar Drug Affairs Directorate, carried out the arrests under warrants issued by the Supreme Judicial Council. The suspects were detained during their trafficking activities and are now in custody.
“The suspects have been transferred to the appropriate authorities for further legal action”, he added.
