The security committee concerned with implementing the security agreement between Iraq and Iran held a series of meetings in Sulaymaniyah today, Saturday.
A statement by the media office of the National Security Adviser received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the security committee concerned with implementing the security agreement between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran held a series of meetings in Sulaymaniyah today, Saturday, headed by the National Security Adviser, Qasim al-Araji, and attended by the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, and members of the committee, government officials, military and security leaders from the centre and the region.".
The statement added that "holding the series of continuous meetings comes to implement the paragraphs contained in the security agreement between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran."
