The Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued today, Saturday, a statement regarding the crime committed by the Zionist entity that led to the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.

Statement No. 3 issued by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated: “The assassination was planned and executed by the Zionist entity and with the support of the American administration.”

He added: "According to the investigations, this terrorist operation was carried out with a short-range missile with a warhead weighing approximately 7 kilograms from outside the boundaries of the guest's (Haniyeh's) residence building, and led to a severe explosion.

The statement concluded: "We affirm that the Zionist entity will receive painful and severe punishment at the appropriate time and place."
