As announced by the Ministry of Migration and Displacement today, Thursday, more than 500 displaced persons have returned home to their areas of residence in Nineveh Governorate from the Hassan Sham and Khazir camps.
The ministry said in a statement the Iraqi News Agency (INA) received: "The desire of displaced families in the camps of Erbil Governorate continues to return to their original areas of residence voluntarily in line with the government program to end the displacement file in the country."
It added, "Nineveh Governorate witnessed today the return of (521) displaced persons residing in the Hassan Sham U2 and Khazer camps in Erbil Governorate."
The statement continued, "The Minister of Migration directed the ministry's cadres to include newly returned families with financial grants, relief aid and durable goods; to support stability in the areas of return and restore life to them."
