Joint force carries out security operation in Hatra Desert

The Popular Mobilization Authority announced today, Sunday, carries out a security operation in Hatra Desert, indicating that the operation aims to secure the entire region and maintain the enhancement of security and stability.

The Authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "A joint force from the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization and the army carried out a large-scale security operation in Hatra Desert, southwest of Nineveh.
It added that "forces from the 21st and 44th Brigade within the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization and units of the 43rd Brigade in the army and a number of supportive assistants and directorates in the Popular Mobilization Authority participated in the operation."
It indicated that "the operation aims to secure the entire region and maintain the enhancement of security and stability witnessed by Nineveh Governorate."
